Zou takes javelin F34 gold at Rio Paralympics

World record holder Zou Lijuan of China took gold in the women's javelin F34 at the Rio Olympics on Friday, beating Finland's Marjaana Heikkinen in the final.

Zou recorded a best throw of 21.86 meters, 3.44 meters further than Heikkinen's longest effort.

Germany's Frances Herrmann claimed bronze with a top throw of 18.66m.

Zou, 22, was born with cerebral palsy. Endit
