Urgent: New cessation of hostilities in Syria to take effect next week

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry announced early Saturday morning that an agreement on Syria with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov aims to set up a nation-wide cessation of hostilities in Syria beginning at sundown on Sept. 12.

This statement follows marathon talks here in a luxurious Geneva lakeside hotel between both officials, who hope to enhance cooperation in Syria in a bid to end to the five-year conflict. Endit
