British FTSE 100 decreases 1.19 pct on Friday

The FTSE 100 Index, Britain's benchmark stock market gauge decreased by 1.19 percent, or 81.75 points, to 6,776.95 points on Friday.

The share price of Royal Bank of Scotland Group increased by 2.28 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Mediclinic International, Barclays, HSBC Holdings and Lloyds Banking Group increased by 1.56 percent, 0.89 percent, 0.82 percent, and 0.76 percent respectively.

Ashtead Group led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 4.42 percent, followed by Whitbread (3.92 percent), Wm Morrison Supermarkets (3.70 percent), Bunzl (3.43 percent) and Fresnillo (3.36 percent). Endit
