Xinhua, September 9, 2016 Adjust font size:

Brazilian striker Fernandinho's goal helped Chongqing Lifan beat Yanbian 2-1 at home in the 24th round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Friday.

The visitors missed an excellent opportunity in the 34th minute as Ha Tae-Goon's header hit the post.

Fernandinho broke the ice for Chongqing Linfan as he got passing from Wu Qing and his low strike went into the dead corner of the net after hitting Yanbian's defender.

After the interval, Chongqing's 23-year-old Brazilian earned a penalty as he was pulled down in the penalty area. Alan Kardec enlarged the gap to 2-0.

Yanbian made two substitutes and Jin bo's goal in the injury time was just a consolation.

In the other match, Shanghai SIPG tied Beijing Guoan 2-2 at home. After a scoreless tie in the first half, Brazilian Hulk's fabulous goal put Shanghai SIPG in the leading position five minutes after the break.

Beijing Guoan tied the score by Burak Yilmaz's penalty kick and overtook Shanghai SIPG 2-1 with Lei Tenglong's header in the 81st minute. Hulk settled the score 2-2 with a penalty kick seven minutes later.

Six other matches of the 24th round will take place on Saturday and Sunday. Endit
