Xinhua, September 8, 2016 Adjust font size:

Informal consultations in preparation for the United Nations conference on climate change later this year in Morocco have started Thursday in the Moroccan city of Skhirate.

COP 22, or the 22nd Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, is scheduled to take place in November in the Moroccan city of Marrakech.

Over 140 delegates from 50 countries gathered in this two-day session in order to discuss various issues for the parties concerned to best prepare for COP22.

The event is an opportunity for representatives to discuss matters regarding implementing the Paris Agreement and the acceleration of climate action before 2020, within an informal framework before COP22. Enditem
