Taliban militants entered Uruzgan's provincial capital Trinkot city in south Afghanistan Thursday morning, triggering heavy fighting which is going on, said spokesman for provincial governor, Dost Mohammad Nayab.

"Taliban entered the city and presently firefight continues around the police department," Nayab told Xinhua.
