Two single-engine small planes collided in mid-air on Wednesday morning in Carroll County, western Georgia, killing three people on board, said U.S. federal officials.

"Two single aircraft, a Diamond Aircraft DA20C1 and a Beech F33A, collided in midair over at the West Georgia Airport, Carrolton, GA at 10:54 am today," the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said in a statement. (US-Plane Collision)

DAMASCUS -- The Syrian army killed 150 rebels during battles in the country's central province of Hama on Wednesday, state-run SANA news agency said, as activists reported an imminent release of prisoners from Hama's central prison, a monitor group reported.

The military forces killed the rebels near the town of Maardis in the northern countryside of Hama, said SANA. (Syria-Rebels)

VIENTIANE -- China has vowed to form a closer community of shared future with Southeast Asian nations while commemorating the 25th anniversary of their dialogue relationship.

MEXICO CITY -- Mexico's President Enrique Pena Nieto on Wednesday announced a cabinet shakeup, just days after the much-criticized visit of U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Apple Inc. announced on Wednesday the upgrade of its flagship product, the smartphone known as iPhone, with new features such as water resistance, double-lens camera, stereo speakers and wireless headphone.
