Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) crushed Estonia 5-0 in their opening qualifying game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals in Group H here on Tuesday night.

BiH dominated the match. Defender Emir Spahic headed in the opener from close range after Estonia goalkeeper Mihkel Aksalu denied Vedad Ibisevic's initial effort.

Edin Dzeko then doubled the lead, sending Aksalu the wrong way from the penalty spot after he had been brought down by Ragnar Klavan.

Haris Medunjanin spectacularly volleyed in Miralem Pjanic's corner from the edge of the box for the third before Ibisevic nodded in from close range.

Spahic sealed the win with his second goal in stoppage time. Pjanic centered from the corner and Spahic scored his sixth goal for BiH with a header.

BiH will meet Belgium next month. Endit
