Czech tennis player Kvitova ends cooperation with her coach

Czech tennis player Petra Kvitova announced in a press release on Tuesday that she ended cooperation with her coach Frantisek Cermak after her return from the US Open tournament.

Kvitova, 26, Wimbledon winner and a bronze medallist from the 2016 Rio Olympics, is the current 16th in the WTA rankings. She said she agreed with Cermak to end their cooperation after returning from America.

She said she will be training alone as at the beginning of the season, but this is naturally not the final solution.

Kvitova terminated her cooperation with coach David Kotyza in January 2016 after more than seven years, following her failure at Australian Open.

Former doubles player Frantisek Cermak replaced the position of Kotyza to work as Kvitova's coach since mid-April. He was her sparring partner in March. Endit
