4,000 troops participate in training exercise in northwest Russia

More than 4,000 Russian troops and approximately 15,000 units of armaments and equipment take part in a large-scale tactical training exercise in northwest Russia that started on Tuesday.

The press service of the Western Military District of Russia reports that the exercise is organized on three training ranges in the Astrakhan and Volgograd regions.

During the exercise, infantry, armored forces and artillery forces will practice a retreat under maneuver enemy's missile attack, while air defence forces must destroy maneuver enemy's cruise and ballistic missiles, drones and aircraft. Endit
