Xinhua, September 6, 2016 Adjust font size:

Russia will use S-400 and S-300anti-aircraft missile systems in the "Caucasus-2016" war games in the southern region of Astrakhan, the Defense Ministry said Tuesday.

The two long-range missile systems together with Pantsir-S1 "will fire at the air targets simulating the entire spectrum of air attacks at all altitudes and speeds," the ministry said in a statement.

Pantsir-S1 is a combined short-to-medium rage surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery weapon system.

About 12,500 servicemen are involved in the military exercises held from Monday to Saturday. Endi
