Urgent: Gun firing resumes in central Kabul: source

Xinhua, September 6, 2016 Adjust font size:

Gun firing and explosions resumed early Tuesday as security forces were exchanging fire with gunmen who seized a building in central Afghan capital of Kabul, a security source said.

"One terrorist detonated a car bomb at a building in Shar-e-Naw locality late Monday night. Several gunmen took position inside the stricken building. Afghan Special Operation Forces arrived at the site overnight. They were clearing the area during a counter-attack," the source told Xinhua anonymously.

Further details about the incident are still forthcoming amid the absence of official statement. Enditem
