British FTSE 100 down 0.22 pct on Monday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Monday closed at 6,879.42 points, down 15.18 points or 0.22 percent.

Share price of Paddy Power Betfair increased by 1.89 percent to top the gainers of the blue chips. Other best performers included CRH (1.69 percent), Randgold Resources (1.67 percent), BAE Systems (1.37 percent), and Capita (1.15 percent).

Royal Bank of Scotland Group led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 3.52 percent, followed by Provident Financial (2.32 percent), Intu Properties (2.18 percent), Berkeley Group Holdings (2.15 percent), and Lloyds Banking Group (2.13 percent). Endit
