Morocco defeated Sao Tome e Principe 2-0 in Rabat late on Sunday to end their successful 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.

At Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah, Hakim Ziyech netted the opening goal from the penalty spot in the 55th minute before Aziz Bouhaddouz wrapped up a straightforward victory in the 83rd.

The Moroccan squad, who already guaranteed their leadership of Group F before the match, finished the campaign with an impressive haul of 16 points. Only Senegal, with an 18-point record in Group K, fared better. Endit
