China will resolutely safeguard sovereignty and territorial integrity, and curb "Taiwan independence" activities in all forms, Chinese President Xi Jinping told his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama on Saturday.

China will make great efforts to maintain the peaceful development of the ties across the Taiwan Strait and seek peaceful reunification of the nation, Xi said during a meeting with Obama in Hangzhou on the eve of a G20 summit. Endi
