China's Anhui appoints acting governor

The local legislature in eastern China's Anhui Province appointed Li Guoying as acting governor of the province Thursday.

Li, a native of Yuzhou, Henan Province, is also deputy secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Anhui Provincial Committee and vice governor of Anhui.

The Standing Committee of the Anhui Provincial People's Congress accepted the resignation of governor Li Jinbin, who was recently appointed secretary of CPC Anhui Provincial Committee by the CPC Central Committee. Endi
