China willing to further develop economic corridor with Pakistan

China is willing to push forward the development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said Wednesday.

A two-day summit and expo regarding CPEC started in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, on Monday, aimimg to provide a platform for exchanging ideas, opening new avenues for business, and exploring opportunities in CPEC.

CPEC represents a consensus reached by the two governments and is important for connectivity and cooperation in trade and economy, spokesperson Hua Chunying told a press conference.

At present, China and Pakistan have good communication and coordination, and relevant projects are showing smooth progress, Hua said.

She expressed her hope that achievements in CPEC would benefit the peoples of both countries as soon as possible. Endit
