British FTSE 100 down 0.25 pct on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday closed at 6820.79 points, down 17.26 points or 0.25 percent.

Share price of Associated British Foods increased by 3.42 percent, which topped the gainers of the blue chips. Other best performers included HSBC Holdings (1.94 percent), Barclays (1.90 percent), CRH (1.77 percent), and Ashtead Group (1.75 percent).

Fresnillo led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 5.59 percent, followed by Antofagasta Holdings (5.54 percent), Anglo American (4.78 percent), Rio Tinto (4.74 percent), and Paddy Power Betfair (4.51 percent). Endit
