Spanish stock market rises 0.7 pct, closes at 8,659 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 rose 0.7 percent on Friday to close at 8,659.50 points, up from the 8,599.50 points of Thursday.

Share values were up 2.48 percent in the week as a whole with the Spanish risk premium closing at 100.90 points and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closing at 0.9 percent, both showing no big differences when compared with five days ago.

On Friday session ArcelorMittal shares led rises climbing 2.69 percent, followed by Bankinter, BBVA, Enagas, Indra A and Bankia that rose 1.68 percent, 1.61 percent, 1.44 percent, 1.25 percent and 1.23 percent respectively.

On the other hand, AENA shares led falls losing 0.71 percent, followed by Merlin, Tecnicas Reunidas, Melia Hotels, IAG and Grifols that lost 0.62 percent, 0.42 percent, 0.31 percent, 0.28 percent and 0.24 percent respectively. Endit
