Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin stressed the importance of cooperation against all "terrorist organizations" in a phone conversation Friday, Erdogan's office said in a statement.

Erdogan informed Putin of the Euphrates Shield operation in Syria's Jarablus launched by the Turkish military and the U.S.-led coalition to sweep the Islamic State(IS) terrorists from the border.
