China applauds peace agreement between Colombian government and FARC

China on Friday congratulated the Colombian government and the country's largest rebel group on a final peace agreement.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang told a routine press briefing that the agreement is expected to bring peace to the Colombian people.

After nearly four years of negotiations, the Colombian government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) finalized a peace deal on Wednesday, which ends their 50-year conflict. Endi
