At least three people have been killed and 12 others injured as a suicide bombing rocked Tajkirgan town in the northern Balkh province on Thursday, deputy to provincial police chief Abdul Razaq Qadiri said.

"A suicide attack apparently targeting a parliamentarian in Tajkirgan district this morning, has killed three civilians and injured 12 others," Qadiri told Xinhua.

The parliamentarian escaped unhurt, he added. All the victims are civilians, the official asserted. Enditem
