Morocco's Wydad Casablanca meet Egypt's Zamalek in African Champions League semis

Morocco's Wydad Casablanca (WAC) will clash with Egypt's Zamalek in African Champions League, after finishing top of Group A.

The first leg will be played in Egypt either on Sept. 16, 17 or 18, while the second leg is scheduled a week later in Morocco.

The Moroccan side snatched on Wednesday in Zambia a 1-1 draw before Zesco United to maintain its Group A lead, in a match of the 6th and final day of the group phase.

David Owino opened the scoring for the Zambian team in the 17th minute, before Nigerian Chisom Chikatar scored the equalizer for Wydad in the 57th minute.

Thanks to this draw, WAC confirmed its leader position of group A with 11 points, two points ahead of Zesco United.

In the other game of this group, Al Ahly (Egypt) and ASEC Mimosa (Cote d'Ivoire) tied 0-0.

In the other semifinals, Zesco United FC will play Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa. Enditem
