British FTSE 100 drops 0.48 pct on Wednesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Wednesday dropped by 0.48 percent, or 32.73 points, to 6835.78 points.

Share price of Travis Perkins increased by 4.05 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips.

Barratt Developments, Lloyds Banking Group, ITV, and Berkeley Group Holdings increased by 2.94 percent, 2.92 percent, 2.70 percent, and 2.68 percent respectively.

Randgold Resources led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 5.05 percent, followed by Mediclinic International (4.03 percent), Fresnillo (4.03 percent), Old Mutual (3.96 percent) and Antofagasta Holdings(3.88 percent). Enditem
