Spanish stock market rises 0.87 pct, closes at 8,655 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 rose 0.87 percent on Wednesday to close at 8,655.50 points, up from the 8,580.90 points of Tuesday.

On Wednesday session, BBVA shares led rises climbing 3.35 percent, followed by IAG, Bankia, Banco Popular, Banco Santander and Banco Sabadell that rose 3.17 percent, 2.66 percent, 2.53 percent, 2.44 percent and 2.09 percent respectively.

On the other hand, ArcelorMittal shares led falls losing 2.08 percent, followed by Acerinox, DIA, Enagas, Cellnex and Ferrovial that lost 1.36 percent, 1.10 percent, 0.36 percent, 0.36 percent and 0.34 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 102.20 points and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 0.9 percent, both showing no big differences when compared with Tuesday closing time. Endit
