Macedonia to attend Beijing International Book Fair

The National and University Library "St. Kliment of Ohrid" was selected to represent Macedonia in the Beijing International Book Fair, Macedonia's National Library said Tuesday.

This is the first time that Macedonia is represented in this fair, a five-day event which opens on Wednesday.

Macedonia is expected to showcase in this fair editions part of a publishing project on the translation of Macedonian books into six foreign languages. It will also present the Macedonian books translated in Chinese, mainly the eight-volume anthologies of Macedonian literature.

The book fair, which was initiated in 1986, brings together exhibitors from more than 80 countries all over the world this year. Central and Eastern European countries are the countries of honor at this year's book fair. Enditem
