Three caught in south China region for drug trafficking

Xinhua, August 23, 2016 Adjust font size:

Three people have been arrested in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region over drug trafficking offenses, local police said Tuesday.

During the bust, police seized 19.1 kilograms of heroin.

The police in Wuzhou City, Guangxi, received information in March that a drug gang in Neiteng County was transporting drugs from neighboring Yunnan Province.

Subsequently, the suspects were caught in Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan, earlier this month, and 17 kilograms of heroin was found concealed in a sedan. Following confessions by the suspects, the police found another 2.1 kilograms of heroin hidden in a load of hay in Ruili City, Yunnan.

The investigation continues. Endi
