Shanghai Shenhua beats Liaoning 2-1

A 79th minute header by Nigerian Obafemi Martins helped Shanghai Shenhua beat Liaoning 2-1 in the 23rd round of the 2016 Chinese Super League (CSL) on Saturday.

Australian Michael Thwaite opened for Liaoning in the 27th minute, but Giovanni Moreno equalized for Shanghai Shenhua in the 42nd minute, and Martins sealed the victory with 11 minutes to go.

Shangdong Luneng tore up Tianjin Teda 4-1 on the road on four goals scored in normal time and Evouna netted a consolation goal for Teda in injury time.

Elsewhere, Guangzhou Evergrande had a goalless draw with Hangzhou Greentown. Endit
