2 injured in small plane crashes in western Indonesia

A trainer plane went down in West Java province, leaving 2 out of 3 people on board injured, rescuer said on Thursday.

The Cessna plane crashed into a paddy field in Kujang village of Tasikmalaya district at about 3:30 p.m. Jakarta time (0830 GMT), spokesman of the National Search and Rescue Office Marsudi said.

All the three persons were alive, but two of them sustained injuries, the spokesman said.

"The plane was boarded by three people, one instructor and two students. The wounded have been evacuated," he told Xinhua.

The Indonesian transport safety committee will investigate the cause of the incident, Marsudi added. Enidt
