Vietnam attached great importance to the relationship with China, said Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

CARACAS -- Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has praised the close relationship between Caracas and Beijing, after the 5th Technical Secretariat of the Mixed Venezuela-China High Level Committee (CMAN).

"It is a multi-dimensional relationship, which is spiritual, cultural and deep," said Maduro Tuesday during an address to a group of Chinese academics in the Venezuelan capital. (Venezuela-China-Relations)

QUITO -- Ecuador's Vice President Jorge Glas has inaugurated Ecuador's first fiber-optic cable, built with Chinese assistance, in the southern province of Guayas.

The plant, named Latamfiberhome, is the result of a joint venture by Ecuador's Holding Telconet and China's Fiberhome Technologies.

"With the infrastructure ready, we only need to begin using the plan to set up the brilliant future which awaits us," said Holding Telconet's Executive President Tomislav Topic, at the plant's opening ceremony Tuesday. (Ecuador-China-Fiber)

KUALA LUMPUR -- Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said on Thursday the country's foreign policy should be about building partnerships that benefit the country and the people, highlighting bilateral relationship between China and Malaysia as the one that "have borne tangible results."

PHNOM PENH -- China Duty Free Group (CDFG), a Chinese state-owned enterprise, has launched the soft opening of its third shop in Cambodia, the Phnom Penh Post reported Thursday.

CDFG, which has already operated duty-free stores in northwestern Siem Reap province and southwestern Preah Sihanouk province, has leased nearly the entire 4,000 square meters of the NagaCity Walk, a 94-million-U.S.-dollars subterranean shopping center in Phnom Penh capital, for its third outlet.
