Urgent: Zambia's incumbent President Lungu wins re-election

Zambia's incumbent President Edgar Lungu has won re-election, final results released by the country's electoral body on Monday have shown.

According to the results issued by the Electoral Commission of Zambia, Lungu took 1.8 million votes, while main opposition challenger Hakainde Hichilema of the United Party for National Development took 1.7 million votes in the election held on August 11. Endit
