Cambodian PM to visit Timor-Leste this week, 3 deals expected to be signed

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen will pay an official visit to Timor-Leste on Aug. 19 and 20, where he will witness the signing ceremony of three documents between the two countries, a Foreign Ministry statement said on Monday.

During the visit, Hun Sen will hold bilateral talks with Timor-Leste Prime Minister Rui Maria de Araujo before they preside over the signing ceremony, the statement said.

The three documents expected to be signed include technical and economic cooperation pact, visa exemption agreement for holders of diplomatic and service passports and memorandum of understanding on cooperation in labor field, it said.

The two prime ministers will hold a joint press conference after their talks, it added.

According to the statement, Hun Sen will also attend the 41st anniversary of the founding of the liberation forces of Timor-Leste on Aug. 20. Endit
