Two attendees at Portugal's Boom festival died on their way to hospital, local media reported this Sunday.

The two men, of Chinese and Dutch nationalities, were attended at the festival's facilities by medical staff at Idanha a Nova, around 300 km north of Lisbon, but died due to cardiac arrest when they were being taken to hospital, according to the festival's organizers, Lusa News Agency reported.

The causes of their death is still being investigated. A third person of Portuguese nationality is being treated at hospital and there are signs of drugs in his organism, according to local media.

Boom festival is held every year in Portugal and is one of the world's most popular trance and electronic music festivals.

On the reported death of the Chinese national, the Chinese embassy has not received any information from the Portuguese authority so far. The embassy says it will keep contact with the Portuguese side. Endit
