Bangladeshi female sergeants given scooters

Bangladesh's first batch female traffic sergeants Sunday got scooters to better perform their duties and responsibilities on capital Dhaka streets.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia handed over the scooters to 22 sergeants in a ceremony on Sunday.

Mia said the female traffic sergeants have got proper training on riding scooters on the city streets.

The country's first female traffic sergeants who were recruited in 2014 have recently been assigned to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police. Endit
