China's He and Shi make women's 3m springboard semis at Rio Games

Chinese divers He Zi and Shi Tingmao eased into the semifinal of the women's three-meter springboard at the Rio Olympic Games here on Friday.

The Chinese divers trailed Canada's Jennifer Abel in the heats, while the latter collected 373.00 points to take the lead. He, runner-up of the event at the London Games, was second with 367.05 while world champion Shi was third with 357.55.

Italy's veteran Tania Cagnotto came fourth in 347.30.

The semifinal will be held on Saturday. Endit
