Speed dating event for dogs to be unleashed in Liverpool

Xinhua, August 12, 2016 Adjust font size:

Canine capers will hit Liverpool when the city's first ever speed dating event for dogs takes place on Aug. 24.

Ten lucky dogs will be given the chance to find their perfect partner, and also take part in a stage performance based on a fictional scenario set in 2046 at a Love Hotel for dogs.

The event, taking place at Fact (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology) in Liverpool, is the brainchild of the foundation's new artist in residency Kuang-Yi Ku from Taipei, Taiwan.

Kuang-Yi Ku will be hosting the speed dating event Pet's Pettings, when the dogs will be given the opportunity to find their perfect partner, and make their stage debuts in the futuristic performance area.

Dog owners in the city have been invited to put forward their pets for starring roles in the unique event.

As well as being an artist, Kuang-Yi Ku works as a dentist in Taipei and collaborates on the research into the sexual habits of dogs and cats. Enditem
