The following are highlights of South African major news outlets on Friday.

-- The African National Congress (ANC) is considering changing the Electoral Act, which it blames for benefiting opposition parties at its expense.

ANC secretary-general Gwede Mantashe said on Thursday in Centurion that the electoral system, and how the allocation of seats between parties was calculated, would be part of the discussion as the ruling party reflected on the election results.(Business Day)

-- The deadlock in power utility Eskom wage negotiations has been broken following a 14-hour marathon wage negotiation process, averting a potentially costly strike for the already ailing SA economy, according to Eskom spokesperson Khulu Phasiwe. (Fin24)
