LeBron James, who led the Cleveland Cavaliers to NBA title, agreed to a three-year contract with the team on Thursday.

"I'm re-signing back with the Cleveland Cavaliers, my hometown team, and I couldn't be more excited with this opportunity once again, to defend our crown, defend our title," James said on his multi-media website.

"I just can't wait to get the group back together man, the team, the franchise, and more importantly get everybody together," he added.

The three-time NBA champion did not release details of the contract, but ESPN said that it was worth 100 million US dollars and James would get 31 million dollars in the first year and 33 million dollars in the second. Endit
