Two people were killed and many others seriously injured in separate blasts in southern Thailand, police said on Friday.
Two blasts took place separately in Hua Hin beach resort, killing one person and injuring 22 others, including foreign travelers Thursday night.
After the first explosion, the second one came about 30 minutes later and 50 meters away in Hua Hin beer bar area.
The blasts were remotely detonated by unknown bombers, police said.
The victim was identified as a Thai female while the injured included 10 foreigners, mostly Europeans, who were rushed to hospitals in the world-famous seaside city, police said.
Meanwhile, one person was killed and several others slightly injured in a blast in the southern Thai province of Surat Thani on Friday morning.
The explosion took place outside a provincial marine police unit and the victim was identified as a 52-year-old Thai female.
Blasts also took place in the southern Phuket Province Friday morning, injuring a motorcycle driver.
The police neither confirm nor deny the possibility that the rare bombing incidents might have been connected with Thailand's current political situation.
