German shooter takes title at women's 50m rifle 3 positions

German marks woman Barbara Engleder took gold in the women's 50m rifle 3 positions event on Thursday.

Two Chinese shooters Zhang Binbin and Du Li got silver and bronze respectively.

Engleder shot a total score of 458.6 points in the final, which was recognized as the Olympic record due to the change of rules by the sport's world governing body ISSF.

Du shot the competition well enough to enter the top three, but the 8.6-point shot finally kept her on the third place with 447.4 points.

Zhang finished the event with 458.4 points. Enditem
