JSE closes higher, with marginal gain across the board

The Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) closed higher on Thursday led by a slightly gains across the board.

The all-share index was off 0.20 percent to 52,321.78 points, while the blue-chip top 40 climbed 0.16 percent.

The South Africa rand, which has been one of the contributors to the poor performance in some of the large industrial stocks in recent days, was trading at R13.27 to the U.S. dollar, R17.18 to the British pound, and R14.83 to the euro at close of trading session. Endit
