Kyrgyz woman gives birth after liver transplantation

For the first time in Kyrgyzstan, a woman that underwent liver transplantation has given birth to a baby, the Health Ministry said Thursday.

The woman gave birth to a girl, weighing 2.63 kg with a height of 49 cm, after a cesarian section, the ministry said.

Doctors said that the health condition of the woman and the baby at the time of discharge was satisfactory.

The 30-year-old Kyrgyz woman was diagnosed in 2011 with liver cirrhosis and received liver transplantation in India in February 2015. She got pregnant later that year. Endi
