Chinese president appoints new ambassadors

Chinese President Xi Jinping has appointed two new ambassadors upon approval by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, according to a statement by the national legislature on Thursday.

Qi Qianjin was appointed ambassador to Syria, replacing Wang Kejian.

Song Yumin was appointed ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago, replacing Huang Xingyuan. Endite
