British FTSE 100 rises 0.22 pct on Wednesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Wednesday rose by 0.22 percent, or 15.12 points, to 6866.42 points.

Share price of Rolls Royce Holdings increased by 4.39 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Legal & General Group, Prudential, Barclays, and Smiths Group increased by 3.30 percent, 2.23 percent, 1.55 percent, and 1.44 percent respectively.

Berkeley Group Holding led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 1.40 percent, followed by Hikma Pharmaceuticals (1.39 percent), Sky (1.22 percent), International Consolidated Airlines Group (1.15 percent), 3i Group (1.11 percent). Enditem
