Singapore's Minister for the Environment and Water Resources Masagos Zulkifli will attend a meeting on transboundary haze in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday, announced the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources (MEWR) in a press release on Wednesday.

Attended by ASEAN member states, the 12th Conference of the Parties (COP-12) to the ASEAN Agreement on Transboundary Haze Pollution (AATHP) will continue to review the haze and fire occurrences in the region over the past year.

MEWR said the conference will also focus on the implementation of the AATHP, including measures to monitor, prevent and mitigate transboundary haze pollution. This includes the implementation of the ASEAN Sub-Regional Haze Monitoring System and exchange of information among countries. Endit
