British FTSE 100 rises 0.62 pct on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday rose by 0.62 percent, or 42.17 points, to 6,851.30 points.

Share price of Standard Life increased by 6.75 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Royal Bank of Scotland, TUI AG, EasyJet and Standard Chartered increased by 4.11 percent, 3.73 percent, 3.56 percent and 2.89 percent respectively.

Legal and General Group led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 5.55 percent, followed by Carnival (2.37 percent), Sky (1.10 percent), Aviva (1.06 percent), and Antofagasta Holdings (1.04 percent). Endit
