Inter Milan signs De Boer as head coach

Inter Milan signed Dutchman Frank De Boer, 46, as the head coach with a three-year contract, the Serie A giants announced on its website on Tuesday.

Inter Milan said De Boer will take charge of the first team training this afternoon.

Between 1990 and 2004 De Boer played 112 times and scored 13 goals for the Oranje. At club level for Ajax he lifted five Eredivisie titles, the UEFA Champions League trophy, the UEFA Cup, the UEFA Supercup, and the Intercontinental Cup. He also played for FC Barcelona, Galatasaray S.K. and Rangers F.C..

As the head coach of Ajax, De Boer won four consecutive Eredivisie titles between 2011 and 2014. Endit
