Favorites move through as Australia's Hore end her Olympic tour on a low note

2004 Athens Olympic bronze medalist Kerry Hore of Australia stumbled in the women's quadruple sculls as 2016 Olympic regatta was resumed after the races were postponed due to high winds here on Monday.

Finishing second in Saturday's heats in the women's quadruple sculls, Australia failed to book a direct berth in Wednesday's finals. In Sunday's Repechage, five teams competed four berth in the finals and Australia became the last to finish.

"I'm glad that I continued after London (2012 Olympic Games) and I don't think I could have done anything else. Personally I'm proud of how I've conducted myself and treated other people and just always done the very best I can. When you finish up, that's all you can do," said Hore, who ended her four-time Olympic tour on a low note.

In other events, favorites went through to the next round. Olympic champions Helen Glover/Heather Stanning from Britain qualified for the semifinals in the women's pair, only 0.23 seconds ahead of Anne Andersen/Hedvig Rasmussen from Denmark.

Nenad Bedik/Milos Vasic from Serbia, who capsized in Saturday's heats, qualified for the semifinals in the men's pair.

"We had in the heats some technical problems. That was a little crab and big waves. We just forgot that it happened and start this day like our first race, like our final, and not to have problems," said Bedik. Endit
