Putin arrives in Azerbaijan for trilateral summit

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived here on Monday for a trilateral meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on issues of common interests, the official website of the Azerbaijani president reported.

The meeting is expected to focus on trade, energy, communications, transportation, environment as well as the Syrian situation and the Islamic State threat to Russia.

The participants will also exchange views on ways to bolster military-technical cooperation. A joint declaration is expected to be released. Putin is also expected to separately hold bilateral talks with Aliyev and Rouhani. Endi
