Regular observational flights are being carried out over Russia as part of confidence-building measures in Europe after the end of the Cold War.
The flights from Monday to Friday conducted by Ukraine, Germany and Sweden with a Swedish aircraft Saab 340, the Russian RIA Novosti news agency reported Monday, citing Sergei Zabello, an official of the Russian Defense Ministry.
Russian experts aboard the aircraft will monitor the flights under the Open Skies Treaty signed in March 1992.
